Shaquanna Foster-Dotson, LCSW-C
Mrs. Shaquanna Foster-Dotson is a licensed social worker in the state of Maryland. She is the President and Founder of Inspiring Change Mental Health Services. She has created several workshops for children, parents and professionals in order to bring awareness to social issues such as bullying, conflict resolution, and self -esteem. Mrs. Foster-Dotson has over ten years of experience with providing crisis management and counseling services to families of Maryland and Ohio.
Currently, she is a Certified Peer Mediation Trainer. Mrs. Foster-Dotson is also the co-founder of a girls mentoring group called the Leadership Academy. A Graduate of Morgan State University and Case Western Reserve University she was the recipient of a City of Baltimore Presidential Citation in recognition of her hard work and tireless dedication to the youth and families of Baltimore City.

The mission of Inspiring Change MHS is to assist individuals and families with facilitating a positive change through quality counseling services, mentorship programs and educational workshops. We will remain committed to providing certified workshops for professionals that enhance their knowledge base and service delivery. Inspiring Change MHS will become a salient voice in the community that will advocate for social justice.

Janel West, LGSW
Director of Education
Ms. Janel West is a dual licensed social worker in the State of Maryland, and the District of Columbia. She is the Director of Education for Inspiring Change Mental Health Services where she provides overall administrative leadership, management, and marketing for administered Continued Education courses. In her role, she ensures the development of the curriculum is consistent with the state Board of Social Work requirements.
Ms. West is a native of Baltimore City. She is a graduate of the illustrious Bowie State University, and University of Connecticut. Ms. West has created, and facilitated psycho educational, social skills and HIV positive support groups for children in the Connecticut school system. Ms. West has experience in program management, small grant writing, as well as providing counseling services for children, and families in District of Columbia, Maryland, and Connecticut. Currently, Ms. West simultaneously holds a position as a Nephrology Social Worker in Washington, DC. She is a passionate versed professional with the desire to serve the DMV area.
